York Theatre Royal have some lovely windows to the front of their venue that they use to advertise their upcoming shows and events.

It is a great costs effective solution for promotion. The first time we asked to do window graphics for the theatre we went out to site to take measurements and pictures of the windows to be used.

This information was then kept on file and used every time the theatre needed to change their artwork. We work closely with the Theatres marketing team to ensure that the vision they have in mind is made into reality.

For example, on the designs for the 40 years celebration of Berwick, we noticed that the size of some of the writing was too large and would not be visible due to the shape of the window.

We raised the issue with the customer and gave suggestions to resolve the design. We will always be honest ere at Pennine Signs so you can count on us to give you a straight answer and the best solutions we can think of.

To get going with your window graphics there are just a few things to think about to get you started:

– Size of the window or design
– Supply only or supply and fit
– Location if supply and fitted by us
– How could we do this design? Etch, print, cut vinyl….?
– Design concept / purpose
– Specific CMYK colour code if applicable.
– General colours you would like to use
– Image you would like to use if applicable. We suggest looking on deposit photos for useable images.
– Do you have a logo? If so send it across to us in a high rex PDF format
– If you don’t have a logo, we can create one for you!

We have a few different options for window graphics:

Cut vinyl – our cut vinyl is backed with a permanent self adhesive that allows the product to be fitted to internal walls, external and internal signs, glass and vehicles. It is an exterior grade that is made to last and comes in a variety of colours. Primarily used for simple logo designs, writing and block colours.

Printed vinyl – Our printed vinyl is backed with a permanent self adhesive that allows the product to be fitted to internal walls, external and internal signs, glass and vehicles. It is an exterior grade vinyl which can be printed to, making your designs come to life. Primarily used for more intricate designs, images and designs with different colour gradients.

Window Etch – Specifically used for frosty window graphic designs. Can be used for privacy, design or promotions.

Self Cling – This is a re useable product, once you have got it you can re use the print year after year. Just gently peel it off, store it carefully and then re apply to the window when needed.

Once we know the vehicle information we can use templates to create the proof, this will show you what the design will look like on a template of your vehicle (templates may not be available for rare or brand new models, in this case we will use images of your vehicle itself.
