York Theatre Royal had a Secret Studio Garden for a special promotion. To help them create some eye-catching directional signage that fitted in with the theme, we created some free standing, portable cut out shapes. They were Tulips in a plant pot, a watering can, a sunflower in a plant pot and then some boot footprints along the floor.

There were 26 boot prints applied onto the floor leading you through the theatre into the Secret Studio Garden. We had originally proofed muddy boot prints to show someone who had walked through a garden, however we decided that it would look better in bright colours as they would be easily spotted, and not mistaken for a muddy floor.

The vinyl used for the boot prints was a special floor graphic, specifically made to be anti slip and hard wearing, making it perfect for the job. The free-standing signs were made from 5mm foam with a full print applied. They were cut out with our in-house CNC machine and the vinyl was hand trimmed to ensure a perfect finish.

We have a few different options for sign media:

Cut Vinyl – Our cut vinyl is backed with a permanent self adhesive that allows the product to be fitted to internal walls,
external and internal signs, glass and vehicles. It is an exterior grade that is made to last and comes in a variety of
colours.

Printed Vinyl – Our printed vinyl is backed with a permanent self adhesive that allows the product to be fitted to internal
walls, external and internal signs, glass and vehicles. It is an exterior grade vinyl which can be printed to, making your
designs come to life.

Wrap Vinyl – Wrap vinyl is designed for, and used most commonly, to be fitted into recessed areas and follow the contours of a van to give a full, professional finish without any noticeable breaks in the print. It can also be used to wrap certain 2D and 3D objects.

Once we know the vehicle information we can use templates to create the proof, this will show you what the design will look like on a template of your vehicle (templates may not be available for rare or brand new models, in this case we will use images of your vehicle itself.
